About the Artist

Sandra Clark discovered her passion for painting later in life and has dedicated herself to learning traditional painting techniques with a modern twist. Her paintings reflect the tropical surroundings of the place she calls home since moving to Miami when she was a little girl. “There is so much to paint in South Florida.  My goal is to capture the sunshine and color and infuse it with elegance and poetry conveying a sense of calm but also inviting excitement through varied brush marks. I use rich and vibrant brush strokes that speak from my heart of the beauty of nature.” Sandra paints en plein air as often as possible to better understand light and its effects on color and be inspired by all that has been created to be enjoyed. Studio painting is also a part of her practice and is where larger works of art are created.
